长城网·冀云客户端讯（记者 赵博轩 实习生 李石 米雯婷）7月1日至7月3日，艾奥瓦州老朋友代表团来到河北进行友好交流活动。今年是河北与艾奥瓦州缔结友好省州的40周年。老朋友代表团一行先后到石家庄和雄安新区，进学校、访乡村、乘游船、赏美景，感受河北的发展活力。几十年来，艾奥瓦州老朋友为推动两省州友好合作关系发展作出了积极贡献，带动越来越多的艾奥瓦州民众参与到双方的友好交往中，友谊的火炬在两省州人民手中代代传承。

艾奥瓦州友好委员会董事卢卡·贝隆说到：“看到雄安新区从构思到实现的整个过程非常惊讶。河北省的其他方面也都很好，有很多新发展和新建设，整个省份充满了活力。”

From July 1 to July 3, a delegation of "old friends" from Iowa, the United States visited Hebei Province. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the establishment of friendly relationship between Hebei and Iowa. The delegation visited Shijiazhuang and Xiongan New Area, where they toured schools, visited villages, took boat rides, and enjoyed the beautiful scenery, experiencing the vibrant development of Hebei. For decades, old friends from Iowa have contributed to the development of cooperation between Hebei and Iowa, encouraging more people from Iowa to participate in the friendly exchanges. The torch of friendship has been passed down through generations.

"Obviously today has been absolutely incredible to see the progress that has been done from conception to realization. Everything else in Hebei Province looks great including a lot of new development, new construction, and vibrant energy about the province," said Luca Berrone, Board Member of Iowa Sister States Committee.
